Awww back in September Ben & Jerry’s renamed it’s “Chubby Hubby” ice cream to “Hubby Hubby” to celebrate the start of legalized gay marriage in its home state of Vermont. Unfortunately it’s only available in Vermont, so those of us in the other45 non gay marriage states can’t drown our sorrows or eat our feelings in “Hubby Hubby.” ;(

Side Note: The pretzels are packed with peanut butter and covered with fudge…so no tasteless jokes STRAIGHTIES!

Check out this moving footage of last Saturdays march flowing over the 101 Freeway while cars and trucks honk in support. Over 15,000 people showed up for this protest as well as thousands more in rallies around the United States. Read more on the protests here.

Prop 2 passed in California giving chickens and other animals more freedom. Meanwhile Prop 8 also passes stripping gay people the right to get married. Yes the connection is a bit of a stretch but it’s something to think about.

Video was taken on Saturday at Sunset Junction in Silverlake, CA. Over 10,000 protesters including celebrities like Zachary Quinto, Wanda Sykes, James Franco and Drew Barrymore showed up to voice there opposition to Prop 8 and support of overturning this new unconstitutional gay marriage ban.

My straight friend ‘Bob the Used Car Salesman’ was going to vote Yes on Prop 8 until I showed him this ad made by 9in10.org. It makes a really good point.

Thank you Mr. Pitt for your $100,000 contribution to opposing Proposition 8, the California ballot initiative that would stop some pretty amazing people from getting married to the person they love. Ah, maybe they are right….it’s a slippery slop. I’m sure after a couple years of being married to my wonderful boyfriend, I would realize what I really wanted to marry was a goat. I should just start campaigning now for ‘Goat Marriage.’ Care to contribute Brad?
