The Three Gayest Awards Shows of the Year….hmmmmm, how to choose the gayest? The Glaad Awards had Janet Jackson, or was that Michael or was that LaToya or was it Tito? Not quite sure which one it was but whoever it was they were NOT born with that nose.

The A-list Awards had Kathy Griffin, what’s not to love? Oh yeah, everyone else who showed up who were so NOT on the A-list that they didn’t even have a letter. But cameos from little Chris Siriano and the great Tim Gunn put this awards show up there with as gay as they come.

Then, of course, there was the Tony Awards. Let’s see Patti Lupone giving the best damn performance of “Everything’s Coming Up Roses”-check. The original cast of Rent reunion-check. My tears flowing down my cheeks as “In the Heights” takes Best Musical-check. So, which show is the GAYEST AWARDS SHOW EVER…Well, let’s see…the only event to have MISS LIZA MINNELLI stroll on to the stage looking (sorry Christian) FIERCE AS HELL in a black mini skirt and grace America (she could have stayed at home polishing her Emmy, Oscar, Golden Globe, 3 Tonys and Grammy) with her presence.

So, sorry Bravo (stick with Project Runway) and GLAAD (stick to sending ten email media alerts a day). The gayest show of the year HAS to be The Tonys. Liza and her tampon are never wrong!!

I am very pleased to share with you, on this very first MUSIC MONDAY MADNESS Gayest Post Ever which will be a weekly installment, Von Iva. The post title may be misleading, because I really don’t know if they are AC or DC, or perhaps they swing both ways, AC/DC?

Irregardless, these ladies rock hard. If you are in the LA area, they are playing tomorrow night at the always grunge-tastic The Echo if you’d like to get your face rocked out into outer space.
